The next few weeks we did stuff, crocheted, planned lessons for winter camp, bought supplies, I got really sick, and eventually I took my first real sick day! I'd been running on about 3 to 4 hours of sleep for the past month so I completely crashed and didn't wake up till 9:40AM on Tuesday when my coteacher called me. I'm kinda sad I missed Tuesday.. it was my last teaching day before winter break. Wednesday I already knew there would be no classes :[. It gave me 4 extra hours to sleep though! I used the day to bake cookies, finish the rabbit I was crocheting for Jang, and look over winter camp lesson plans. Jang was like, "so.. you didn't rest on your day off??" :x I reallllllly wanted to bake the cookies and give her and Lee gifts for being good coteachers. Both won't be my coteacher next year :( Lee is off for maternity leave and Jang will be teaching 2nd graders next year. Lee's present wasn't finished so I didn't give it to her until the first day of winter camp. She was helping me for the 2 days she had duties :)

Ok before I get into camp and beyond.. December 24th! Christmas Eve! Ashley and Anthea came over to sleep over, watch Wall-E, decorate my apartment, and just to celebrate :) We ordered Papa Johns successfully and had a good Christmas Eve dinner :p The next day we went to Suwon with Ashley to look around her mall and have lunch/dinner. Twilight was sold out everywhere practically (evaded us 4 times) so we ended up never getting to watch it. However, we did get a good pho/fried noodle Christmas dinner though lol. After Suwon, Anthea and I went to Gangnam and shopped around the station. We found some "cheap" 5000 won clothes, but they're just that. They're cheap and poorly made. All the things we bought that were that cheap turned out fitting really weird and didn't look good at all :[ Back to buying overly priced clothing!

These are kinda long but this was out
attempt at ordering pizza :D Lots of long pauses~

The weekend after that Anthea was on a trip with her school to go skiing so Ashley and I went to Gangnam to sit in a tea shop to crochet and study. She crocheted while I studied. My hands were still in pain from crocheting as fast as possible for Jang and Lee's gifts. I finally studied a tiny bit of Korea XD My kids would be proud. Everyday after I took my textbook to school, they had been asking me, "Teacher, study?" and I'd sadly shake my head and say "too busy.." with my dark circles and they'd reassure me that it's ok!! What good children! I like them :p I can't wait to see them in 2 weeks. This coming week is 3rd graders, next is 4th, then last is 5th.

Example of my dinner lately.. reason why Jang is concerned lol.

The 2nd graders that came for camp were better than I expected. The first class stared at me blankly whenever I said anything, but they knew the colors, letters, numbers, AND they could read! The 2nd class was much better as they could understand 30% of what I said and were really enthusiastic XD By the end, both classes were singing the colors song I taught them pretty well and could keep up with my speed colors quiz (point at color and they say it ;D) It's amazing how fast kids can learn. The first class really understood nothing I said unless I started the answer for them.. like let's count from 1 to 10.. 1... 2... then they'd join.. Or say the ABC's as I point to them! A.. B... The last class day I had them make pies with clay or whatever they are. They could understand me and answered my questions when I went around asking them about their pies :) They made apple pies, purple cherry pies, toxic pies, hamburgers, sandwiches, kimbab, pizza, ice cream, and many other things. They’re really artistic! One kid put a ball of purple and a ball of blue in between 2 lighter layers and then cut it in half. It made it look good to eat like there’s filling inside! It's not even that they're shy so they weren't saying anything in the beginning, they truly had the "what in the world is she saying" look that I give to Koreans when they attempt to talk to me in Korean lol. It just takes me a lot longer with my old brain to pick up things.

And that takes me all the way back to New Years! Hope you don't get a headache from my posts~
